First Abstract Floral of 2010 just completed!

"ABSTRACT FLORAL #1"

SERIES 2010 - #1

11X14 ACRYLIC on Streched Canvas. Sides painted black.

Not framed. (see below for more details)

VIVID COLOR AND DESIGN. THIS SERIES IS IN COLLECTIONS WORLD WIDE.

I am now only doing several of these Abstract Florals per year. The previous paintings in this series have all sold out, so if interested, save me as a favorite seller and you will be the first to know when they are listed.

BRAND NEW - FIRST AND ONLY PAINTING COMPLETED IN 2010.

This painting was started about the middle of January. I wanted to work with one of my favorite color combinations (purples & oranges) yet not have it look like any others. After much trial & error I had the desired result.

The recent paintings in this series are taking on a new, less cluttered look. The earlier paintings were busy and loaded with many colors. From about the end of 2007 they started to become a bit less frantic, yet keep the vivid color & movement.

As I simplfy the designs they seem to become more interesting. I will probably continue in this new direction.

Davini's abstract work has an existential quality that challenges and lures the viewer into searching for relationships that may elucidate or deny the unexplainable. The bold use of color, a Davini staple, suggests a simplicity and immediacy that evokes trust and a sense of knowing the artist. Within the apparent forthrightness of his work, particularly his lavish flower paintings, there lies a sophistication and mystery that retains viewer interest over time. Paradise and pain, interconnectedness and stark isolation flow from his palette. An artist whose work lovingly embraces both the obvious and the unknowable. Mary Montgomery

11 x 14 inch streched canvas.

SIDES PAINTED BLACK - NOT FRAMED.

I have a nice frame for this, and it is free for the asking, but I have found my collectors prefer to do the framing to match their decor.

Abstract Floral painting sets record amount!

Well, a record for me that is.

$2,100.00

For years my friends have been telling me to ask more, but I was hesitant. Who am I that people would want to pay that kind of money?

I'm not saying people are going to all of the sudden go "wow, that is danny davini, the dude that paints those wild abstract florals and insane art gems", I'm just saying that with that sale I somehow feel I belong, and with that newfound validation I have the confidence to aim much higher than before.

A new benchmark has been set in my mind as to what I should be asking, and yet, if I never even sell another one for that amount that will be fine. I'll just keep it:>

Thanks to those of you that have been a source of encouragement, been there when I have wanted to quit, & who shared in my success. All I can say is I hope to do it again real soon...
